Conrad Hoeffler (1647-1696) published his collection of suites for bass viola da gamba and basso continuo in 1695, shortly before his death. Entitled Primitiae Chelicae (roughly ‘First Fruits of the Viola da Gamba’), this collection contains 12 suites in a mature style. This volume contains suites 9-12.
