About Us:Magnamusic, a family owned and operated business, has been around since the 1940s. We hold one of the largest collections of early (Renaissance and Baroque) sheet music and instruments in the United States and Canada. We always do our best to offer our prompt, friendly and personalized service.

Ordering: You can order by telephone, fax, mail, email or online using your Visa or MasterCard. For mail orders, you can send your credit card number, a personal check or a money order. Please do not send cash.

Prices: Prices are subject to change at any time.

Credit Cards: We accept MasterCard and Visa.

Shipping & Handling: We ship by First Class, Priority Mail and UPS depending on the weight and value of your order.
International Shipping: We will advise you after your order has been received as to what the most economical and expedient method of shipping will be. You will be advised at that time of the cost. Customs fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Delivery Time:Orders received by 2:00pm EST are usually processed the same day.

Partial Shipments: If some items on your order are out of stock, we will ship a partial shipment. Back ordered items will be shipped to US addresses at no additional charge. We usually choose the least expensive method, first class, media mail or priority mail. If you wish for faster service, please ask. Additional international fees will apply for all non-US addresses.

Damaged Shipments: Please contact us immediately if any merchandise arrives damaged. You will need to retain the damaged item as well as the box and packing material. The shipping company may want to pick those items up from you.

Returns: We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied for any reason, please call us to obtain a return authorization. Sheet Music: We will happily authorize you to return merchandise for replacement or refund if you call us within 10 days of receipt. Please note, however, that orders placed with free shipping that are partially returned will be subject to shipping charges. Instruments: We do not sell used instruments. Please do not play any instrument for more than 5 minutes otherwise we cannot accept its return. All returned items must have prior authorization, so please make sure you call us before sending anything back.

Special Orders: We do our best to estimate the expected delivery time for these orders. We do have a non-refundable 25% deposit for special orders.

Privacy: We do not give out any customer contact information.

Store Hours: Our hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, EST. Weekends and Holidays, by appointment only. Feel free to call in advance and tell us what you'd like to look at and we can have it ready for you when you arrive. Or, feel free to browse!

Warranties: Adler, Aura, Dolmetsch Academy, Moeck and Mollenhauer recorders purchased from Magna Direct or Magnamusic Distributors have a 2 year warranty. The Coolsma has a 2 year warranty as well, with the exception of the Solo series, which has a warranty of 4 years. Zen-On recorders do not have a written warranty but we stand behind our products and any instrument with manufacturing defects or voicing inconsistency will be repaired or replaced within six months of purchase.  Shipping on any work needed to be done on recorders under warranty is the responsibility of the customer. 

Visiting Us:We are open weekdays from 8am to 4pm and on holidays and weekends by appointment. We love having visitors.

We suggest you give us a long list of what you'd like to see (item numbers help.) We will pull the music and have it ready for you to look through when you arrive. You can also browse through our bins to your hearts desire. Some customers bring their instruments and play through music musch to our delight.

We keep a large inventory of recorders and encourage you to try some while you are here. If you are looking for a specific instrument, do contact us first to be sure it is in stock.

There are restaurants and inns in the area - or pack a lunch and picnic on our grounds

We are 2 hours from New York City, 3 hours from Boston. If you are coming by train from NYC (to Wassaic NY) call Margaret Gatainnis (845-373-9121) to pick you up and deliver you back for your return. From the center of Sharon, take Rt. 41 south at the stone clock tower. After 1.7 miles you'll see the Sharon Country Club on your right. We are the 2nd driveway on the left after the club, and finally, after 50 years, we even have a sign!
